FLOWERS FROM GUY LLOYD'S GARDEN, WALES JUNE 2011

At the outset I should say that Guy Lloyd is my good friend who shared six weeks of intense botanizing on two separate trips in the East and West Capes of South Africa. He lives in the charming village of Duffryn Ardudwy which is located on the coast of Wales some 5-1/2 miles north of Barmouth and 4-1/2 miles south of Harlech. Duffryn Ardudwy is situated within the boundaries of Snowdonia National Park, a particularly beautiful region of Wales. Guy's garden of 3-1/2 acres and house named Ty Newydd is part of the National Gardens Scheme and is open to the public by appointment year round. Guy and his wife Margaret tend the gardens and grow all the vegetables to suit their needs. These are a few of the things I photographed. I'm sure if I spent more time there I could include many more. I thank him for the special time we had with him, his wife, and his dog Amber.
