FLOWERING PLANTS OF TABLE MOUNTAIN, SAN GABRIEL MTS
PAGE FIVE

Southern mountain woolstar
Eriastrum densifolium ssp. austromontanum
Polemoniaceae
If you go by the taxonomy for Eriastrum densifolium as given in the Jepson Manual, then this is ssp. austromontanum. If you believe as some do that only ssp. sanctorum is a validly different ssp., then all the other ssp. including austromontanum are equivalent to ssp. densifolium, which is the voucher determination for taxa at Table Mountain.
